“Yoga is not about touching your toes, it is what you learn on the way down. It is about presence, patience, and the courage to find your strength even in the moments you feel weak.”
For most of my twenties, my life was baked in sugar, flour, and long hours. I built a career in the baking and pastry world, at places like Flour Bakery, Lincoln Tavern, Blackbird Doughnuts, Orwashers NYC, and Union Square Donuts. My dedication eventually led to being named a Zagat “30 Under 30”, a milestone that I once thought defined success.
But behind the achievements, I was exhausted. Leading teams, managing endless deadlines, and constantly pushing for perfection left me anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected from myself. Yoga became my release — a place where I could breathe, move, and feel like me again.
When the world slowed down during COVID, so did I. For the first time, I wasn’t needed anywhere else. I had space to listen, to move with intention, and to let yoga do what it does best. heal. It was during that stillness that I realized there was another path waiting for me.
I completed my 200-hour teacher training with East + West and spent 30 transformative days in the jungle learning under my mentor and dear friend, Christine Anderson. That experience changed everything. I knew I was meant to share this practice.
Not long after, I left Boston and made my way to Savannah, Georgia, a leap that opened the door to a life I truly love. Today, I teach full-time and am endlessly grateful for the students who trust me with their minds, bodies, and hearts.
Pause. Practice. Peace. was born in September 2023 as an extension of my heart — a place to share yoga, mindfulness, and meaningful connection in all forms.
What began as a virtual studio has grown into a community for retreats, teacher trainings, mentoring, workshops, and events. It’s a space for those seeking balance, self-discovery, and transformation through both movement and stillness.
The philosophy is simple:
Pause — take a breath, slow down, and notice.
Practice — show up with curiosity, presence, and heart.
Peace — let it unfold naturally from within.
This is more than a brand. It’s a reminder that peace isn’t something we chase, it’s something we return to, again and again.

Tara is a phenomenal instructor! She knows when to push you but also respects your boundaries. I particularly enjoy learning about the history about meditation while in her yoga classes. She has helped me grow so much in my practice, and I appreciate her calm demeanor and positive attitude.
